Hugh the Little Robot is a children's book series written by Radim Kaufmann, built alongside an animated feature film that is currently in development.
The book and the film share the same characters, the same colours and the same rules. Every character is designed once, from four angles, before a single page is illustrated. The book is, in a sense, the film's first draft.
The story is written in American English and adapted into Czech, not translated word for word. In the Czech edition the small town is called Javorov and Grandpa is Vilém Hála. Everything else is the same world.
